Rendering

RenderingWhether it is an existing or a new house, rendering will significantly increase the value of your largest investment with relatively minor costs. A rendered finish can refresh your existing home to give it a modern look.

Professional renovators love to purchase properties that require rendering because a fresh render will dramatically increase the value of the property with minimal outlay.

Rendering means applying a thin layer of material over the surface of an existing wall. It is generally used on external walls and it is often painted after application.

Render can be applied to both new and existing homes and it usually lasts for approximately 10 years before it requires repainting. Render can be applied to brick, stone, cement and concrete.

Cost of rendering is very much dependent on the type of render, surface type, surface smoothness and surface area. A render over a smooth surface will require less work and therefore will be cheaper.

Render comes in different types: cement render, acrylic render and sand cement render.

Professionals normally do the rendering, however with some guidance it is not difficult to do it yourself.
